He denied all the other allegations but in the end (as MGOSI.co.za pressed harder), he admitted that they were behind schedule from the onset and e.tv was very much aware of such.

“The producers failed to deliver early. What happened is that we got the shooting schedule at 2:00 am (CAT) and we shot at 05:00 am. The channel got pissed off because they were at least supposed to send each episode two-weeks prior for the channel to preview it and or approve,” said a source rubbing shoulders with production.
Another source who requested to remain anonymous claimed that they didn’t have enough episodes in December and on the 19th of the same month it was halted.

“We didn’t have enough episodes in December, as a result, the show was stopped on December 19. We had 100 episodes and the channel wanted 180 episodes by December (2019). The producers failed us as actors because they didn’t even negotiate for us to continue with the show,” claimed the source.
Another actor said that they were not “shocked” when they received emails from the production house at 13:00 (CAT) that the channel has decided to put a stopper on Isipho.

“On the 7th of January, we got an email that was requesting us to come to a meeting at 10:00 am. Some of us didn’t manage to go because we were home with our families. Around 13:00 we got an email that e.tv is ending Isipho,” said the source.
The source continued to say that “Herbert also gave his nyatsi a job and e.tv fired her around August – September. He was sabotaging the production of Isipho from the word go. How can he hire his inexperienced girlfriend? They hired incompetent people that’s why we could not meet the channel’s targets.”
Another actor said that it was like shooting a live television show.

“It’s like we were shooting a live show. We would be shocked to shoot today and already the episode flights the following day. Where is time for the channel to preview the show? How did they edit? Herbert was just being greedy and inconsiderate of us as artists,” said our mole.
In a statement released on the 8th of January 2020, the channel said that the mutual decision to conclude production on the drama series Isipho is a strategic business one and was reached “amicably” by all parties involved.
Isipho’s Executive Producers are Herbert Radebe and Busisiwe Ntintili of Ntintili Factory.
