Dr. Musa Mthombeni (31) and former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie (30) have made it official just weeks after taking to social media to announce their engagement, the pair are now known as Mr. and Mrs. Mthombeni, as Dr. Musa Mthombeni has settled lobola negotiations. The couple took to social media to announce their union on Sunday, the 18th of July 2021!
And according to various reports the lobola negotiations were held virtually.

The pair publicly made this announcement by sharing pictures of them in traditional attires with captions that indicated that the negotiations have been settled. Earlier last week, the former Miss SA jokingly posted a snap that read: “I hope my lobola cows have eaten today”. Only for Dr. Musa Mthombeni to share a picture that is captioned: “Your lcows were well fed.”

Friends and family have taken the time to congratulate the couple on their union, they continue to have their followers gushing over their Instagram post captions. The former Miss SA shared a question she had as a caption on one of her pictures wearing her traditional gown, on whether she will simply be Mrs. Mthombeni or have a double-barrel surname.
“Say cheese Makoti. So will it be Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni or Liesl Mthombeni.”
