DJ Tira, real name Mthokozisi Khathi was left spitting fire after an upcoming DJ on Twitter said that there were no output cables from the mixer during his MTV Base – Basement Battle live mix!
“Mara we not stupid. The only thing connected here is the Cdjs to the mixer. There are no sound cables taking out the sound from the mixer,” wrote DJ Techzi, asking DJ Tira to explain.

DJ Tira didn’t take time to respond in the words of DJ Euphonik (Msunu Nonke – not using the word msunu), saying that these youngsters don’t even know how to connect “this” mixer.
“In the words of Euphonik Nonkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee These youngsters I’m sure you don’t even know how to connect this mixer now you making judgements from what you see. Tsek!!!!! You need to go to school and stop thinking Djing is an easy option to make a living,” responded DJ Tira.
DJ Techzi has since apologized to DJ Tira (in a WhatsApp screenshot shared by DJ Tira) and he was told that he doesn’t know the mixer (full stop).

Replying to DJ Tira and adding to the fact that DJ Techzi was ill-informed is music producer DJ @Sky_95.
“For professional TV production, a balanced cable is used and the XLR is commonly used because most TV sound desks only take XLR cable and jack,” wrote DJ Sky_95.
Anyway, DJ Techzi asked DJ Tira to explain to show that he was not 100% sure about what he was talking about, but seeking some clarity.
Another upcoming DJ told Tira that he’s not a perfect DJ but he can agree (that there are no sound cables connected) it’s not “umona” (jealousy) and that DJ Techzi wanted clarity.
