DJ Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo says AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes is one of the people that do what they do best. Speaking to Slikour Online the legendary DJ says that Music Is King is looking for people that do what they do best.
“We are looking for people who do what they do best and he’s (AKA) one of them. I think the bigger message here is that the show is called Music Is King is to also understand that music is bigger than all of us,” says DJ Black Coffee.
DJ Black Coffee says that the reason he knows AKA is because of his music and he also knows DJ Black Coffee because of his music.
“We are in this gathering because of our talents in music and it’s one thing that we have in common that rules all of us. Who are we not to allow it to take us forward,” says DJ Black Coffee.
The second installment of Music Is King takes place on the 14th of December at the iconic TicketPro Dome, featuring the ultimate in music, art, and fashion.
DJ Black Coffee pioneered Music Is King concert in 2018. Last year’s edition featured the likes of Nasty C, Lady Zamar and Riky Rick to name a few.
The DJ and producer also appeared on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
“Looks like a show that started off well… Then we disagreed and arm-wrestled. It’s none of it but love and dreams for the Continent,” he says via his Instagram page.
