Radio and television personality Anele Mdoda on Monday took a jab at the Americans for being late on ‘every’ trend. She says the ‘joke’ she made about Kelly Rowland was stale and it’s like it came on the ships they left in, saying that South African Black Twitter was way better with roasts.
This follows when Anele Mdoda at the weekend had American Twitter in meltdown when she suggested that American songstress Kelly Rowland was not as good looking as many people thought. The former host of Real Talk with Anele claims that she has receipts to prove the star only ‘looks amazing with make-up”.
Sizwe Dhlomo admired Kelly Rowland and said that she could lowkey be the best ‘looking’ one in DC.
“Kelly looks amazing with make-up. Take that make-up off then it’s tickets. I have receipts,” said Anele Mdoda responding to Sizwe Dhlomo’s tweet.
Radio 2000’s Phat Joe, who had a beef with Anele Mdoda in September, got people talking when he opened phone lines on his radio show and poked listeners if they ever had been criticised by someone who is below their level.
Phat Joe didn’t mention Anele’s name but it was highly assumed that he was dragging Anele Mdoda after they had a saucy exchange in September when he questioned Anele Mdoda’s inclusion on the Miss Sout Africa judging panel and suggested she was there to make up the numbers.
Anele didn’t take Phat Joe’s comments lying down and called him ‘washed out’. Phat Joe laughed Anele Mdoda off and later issued a public apology to Anele.
A Twitter user suggested that Americans have no jokes besides ‘poverty and jungle’ when it comes to Africa.
Kelly Rowland who has more than 6 million followers on Twitter compared to her mere above 1 million followers has said nothing about the comments made by Anele Mdoda.
