Nathi Mankayi’s former manager and CSUN’S Holdings Chairperson, China Mpololo have been dragged to the Randburg Small Claims court. China Mpololo also parted ways with Nathi after the singer allegedly battered him and took his belongings for monies owed to him.
On Wednesday China Mpololo appeared at the court sitting in Randburg, North of Joburg for monies owed to entertainment and media Public Relations Practioner Nono Matuwane.
And China Mpololo, according to an eyewitness has blatantly lied under oath, misleading the court denying that C SUN’S Holdings is his establishment.
MGOSI.co.za ran a director search and in our investigation, we can EXCLUSIVELY REVEAL! That China Mpololo is the chairman of C SUN’S Holdings which consists of CSUN’S Sports, CSUN’S Records, CSUN’S Promotions and CSUN’S Events Management. We’ve also established that all these companies’ status’ at the registration office are under “AR Final Deregistration”. As you continue to read you will see a table that he’s a director in 14 companies, some are active in the business sector.
An eyewitness who was present at the court tells us that, “He said he doesn’t know the company that was referred to, which is C SUN’S and that his accuser, Nono was never contracted to him or his business because they never signed an agreement”.
The matter has been postponed to the 18 of October for a ruling.
Nono and a former colleague took the artist manager to the cleaners after he severally refused to compensate her for services rendered during May – July 2019. According to Nono, she is owed R15 000 by China Mpololo.
Speaking to MGOSI.co.za Nono Matuwane was not certain whether China Mpololo will appear in court to state his case or not, but he showed up, wearing a black and white jacket, blue jeans, including blue and black shoes, sitting right at the back inside the courtroom. He was apparently accompanied by Kgomotso Matiwane and a certain Charity, supposedly his business associates.
“We have served the summons on August 14 and even when he tried dodging them we found a way to leave them with his management and confirmed via email that we, indeed, left the summons.
“I personally hope he does the right thing. So many people can’t say the same thing about one man, and not be taken seriously. A man who is brave enough to owe even legends like the late Bra Hugh. He needs to pay back the money, and his unsuspecting recently signed artists need to know the real China Mpololo, who will use them and run away from them when it’s time to pay up,” says the mother of three.

Nono also claims that the South African Afro Music Awards (SAAFMA) they worked on never saw the light after the launch which took place in May this year. Apparently the ceremony was supposed to take place last month. The SAAFMA website also boasts with outdated information and there’s no sign about this year’s installment of the awards.
“What kind of boss borrows petrol money under the guise of ‘I forgot my wallet at a friend’s place’? He has asked me once for R1k. I learned along the way that he used the same line on other people,” claims Nono.
On Thursday morning China Mpololo’s phone rang to voicemail.
