eteran music producer Sello “Chicco” Twala drug-junkie son, Longwe has been arrested again after he allegedly lifted a bar of chocolate worth R10 at a filling station in Diepkloof, Soweto last week!
Longwe Twala is out on bail as he stands accused of stealing a friend’s phone earlier this year.
According to reports, in another incident, Longwe allegedly stole a shaving razor from a grocery store without paying for it in October last year.
Sunday Sun reports that the 35-year-old Longwe was allegedly caught helping himself to the chocolate bar by one of the station’s petrol attendants, who called the cops.
“The petrol attendant on duty spotted him inside the shop and observed his movements. He then saw him taking a chocolate bar and put it in his pocket. He followed him to see if he was going to pay for it,” said a cop close to the case as quoted by Sunday Sun.
The publication also reports that as Longwe was trying to leave the shop, that’s when the petrol attendant caught him and called the police.
It is also reported that Longwe’s father Chicco said that he wasn’t even aware he was out of jail.
“I wasn’t even aware he was out of jail. But a few relatives had mentioned it in passing that he was seen in Naturena, south of Joburg, where they say he stole clothes from his aunt’s house,” said Chicco.
Confirming the case with South African Police Services’ Kay Makhubele, the paper reports that he confirmed the case and said investigations were still ongoing.
Previously, Chicco Twala said he spent more than R1 million to help rehabilitate his “drug-addicted” son, Longwe.
In January Chicco Twala handed over his acid head son to the Diepkloof cop shop after he allegedly stole a cellphone from his friend’s son, Brian Phofedi, in order to feed his junkie ways.
