“I would like to thank everybody that has been with me from where I started in Lokshin Bioskop. There are people who always believe in me and their prayers also mean a lot to me. You don’t pray for yourself alone. I told myself that one day I will receive that award. As much as I didn’t walk on that stage to thank people, one day I’ll walk on that stage. I knew one day I will be a proud owner of a SAFTA,” shares Wiseman Mncube.
He says he would also like to extend his gratitude to Stained Glass TV for giving him the role of Jama because it was a make or break role.

“I would like to thank Stained Glass TV for believing in me and the crew because Jama is Jama because of everyone that was involved. I would also want to give a special thanks to my Creative Director (MQ – Mqondisi Ngubane)) for believing in me from the word go. My family supported me from day one and thanks to my rock (mother) who always prayed for me,” says Wiseman Mncube.
He also extended his hand of appreciation to Directors such as Fikile Magole, Thuli Zuma, and Mthunzi Dubazane to name just a few from his long list of people that held him close to their hearts.
“How can I forget Zuko Nodada who made sure I get an acting agency when I got in Joburg? That man told me that one day I’ll win an award and I should not forget him. Thanks, Zuko for believing in my craft for so many years,” shares Wiseman Mncube.

Wiseman Mncube also gave it to eHostela as the “dopest” production to be part of.
Wiseman says that this win doesn’t mean he will stop working hard.
“We have a tendency of relaxing after winning an award and this shouldn’t be the norm at all. Let’s work hard and win more awards,” concluded Wiseman Mncube.
The 14th SAFTAs were hosted online (Wednesday evening) by the legendary radio personality Dineo Ranaka.
