The Queen actress Ntando Duma has released a statement following a racial incident that she claims was recorded in 2020. The actress said she would like to apologize unreservedly as she fully understands that her rather rowdy behavior was unacceptable!
On Tuesday an Instagram Live recording from 2020 resurfaced with Ntando Duma behaving like a charlatan to a woman who reprimanded her for parking in an area that was marked off for disabled individuals. Instead of her admitting her fault, she continued being rowdy and started swearing at the “white” woman in IsiZulu.

“In light of a recording from last year which has recently surfaced, I would like to apologize unreservedly as I fully understand that my behavior was unacceptable,” said Ntando Duma.
Ntando Duma expressed that she has a deep regard for why disabled parking and other facilities exist, and the decision to park in that bay was not frivolous as she was instructed to park there by the food establishment. “Given that this was a quick pick up which did not require me waiting long or leaving the car,” she said.
“I at no point refused anyone access to this parking and this was the point I tried to explain to the lady before we had the altercation,” said Ntando Duma.
It seems as though Ntando Duma had thought the IG live would be something entertaining as her followers were laughing in the comment section and this could have fuelled her ego to continue ‘amusing’ her followers.

“To that end, I do not wish to justify my behavior on that day, the issue is that this matter could have and should have been handled better. Once again, I apologize to everyone who was offended by my actions,” concluded Ntando Duma.
As much as her followers on Instagram seemed to be finding the humor in her belittling comments, Black Twitter dragged the actress where she was then persuaded to write out an apology letter.
Many individuals have compared her to the characters she plays on television labeling her as “unpleasant and disrespectful“ for using the race card and disrespecting an elderly woman. One Twitter user (@Ms_ Benedictor) voiced her frustration by saying “Finding a wheelchair parking occupied by an able-bodied person always inconveniences me as a wheelchair user. What Ntando Duma did is disrespectful and very rude”.

Some other tweets from Black Twitter:
Although the majority of individuals have taken the side of the unknown white women and have acknowledged the rights that should be given to individuals living with disabilities, some have completely lost the plot pulling out the race card stating if Ntando Duma was a white individual, she would have been left alone.

South African Author Janine Jellers has expressed how she feels this not only a notable lesson that Ntando Duma should learn, but is in fact a lesson for all individuals “If it isn’t clear enough from that trashy Ntando Video, let’s spell it out: If you are an able-bodied person, STOP parking in parking spots reserved for people with disabilities. Your ‘need’ is for ‘convenience’ “.
