Despite his apology to Bonang Matheba, Podcaster Rea Gopane‘s time to pay R500 000 in reputational damages is a time ticking bomb. It was demanded that he pays the money within 10-days from the date he received a letter from her legal team. Now, he has 8-days to sort this mess out!
Although some folks have misunderstood the demands made by Bonang Matheba – thinking that the apology will be the end of it, she is taking none of that and demands her coins.

On Monday evening Rea Gopane said that he would like to express his sincere apology for everything he said on their podcast dated May 9, 2021.
“To the extent that I have made statements to certain individuals and in the public media stating or implying Ms. Matheba’s connection to cocaine, I unequivocally retract all such imputations and unreservedly apologize that they were made. I regret any inconvenience caused to Ms. Matheba and undertake that it will not happen again,” said a mini statement released by Rea Gopane.
Rea Gopane has alleged that Bonang Matheba is a cocaine head and that she introduced AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes to cocaine. He claimed that he heard the saucy 411 from Siyabonga ‘Scoop’ Ngwekazi.

“I would like to unequivocally retract my statements and apologize to all the parties concerned namely Ms. Bonang Matheba, Mr. Kiernan Forbes, and Mr. Siyabonga Ngwekazi. I know and understand that the podcast could cause harm, and I am deeply regretful of my mistake. I have learned from my mistake and will do better moving forward,” Rea Gopane said on his Instagram page.
The 22-year-old Rea Gopane said that the defaming podcast has been taken down on all platforms.

Bonang Matheba acknowledged his apology and said: “Now…..my money. ❤️.”
