ll charges against Norma Mngoma, the estranged wife of former cabinet minister Malusi Gigaba, have been dropped at the Hatfield Magistrate’s Court in Pretoria. She faced charges of malicious damage to property and crimen injuria, reports SABC News!
According to Pretoria News Norma Mngoma will be suing the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigations (Hawks) after she managed to score another victory in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Friday as all charges against her were dropped.
“Malusi is friends with the Hawks, they just wanted to silence me, and get access to my gadgets in order to remove certain information for the #StateCaptureInquiry, so he can get away with his doings,” said Norma Mngoma speaking to Newzroom Afrika.
Norma Mngoma said she was happy and excited because I have the best legal team. So, anything he decided to throw at me I know I have people who will fight for me… I am strong. He tried to break me. He tried to test me,” said Norma Mngoma.
According to reports Norma Gigaba was arrested by the members of the Hawks at her Pretoria residence at about 18:00 (CAT) on Friday (31 July 2020).
IOL reported that their “sources” close to the family told them earlier on that Friday that the cause of the arrest was linked to the alleged damage of Malusi Gigaba’s (believed) Mercedes Benz G-wagon, which Norma Gigaba allegedly damaged.
On that Monday MGOSI.co.za reported that the Mercedes Benz G-63 wagon has been apparently smashed by his wife Norma Gigaba to the pits. This was due to allegations that Malusi Gigaba’s spitting cobra has spit out of wedlock and impregnated a woman allegedly with twins.
