The late child-star, television presenter, producer and actor Akhumzi Jezile’s Foundation is embarking on a new campaign Get Your Licence On, adding that having a valid driver’s licence is no longer a “nice-to-have”.
The Akhumzi Jezile Foundation’s main objective is to change road behaviour on the road and provide support, including educating road users.

In a video clip uploaded on the Foundation’s social media pages, Dr Musa Mthombeni says that having a drivers licence is no longer a nice to have, “It’s actually become something that you have to have because of a lot of employers are actually looking for that special skill, that extra something that you may have that will put you above and beyond the other guy that they may be trying to hire.”

The Foundation is also asking all road users to make a pledge towards making smarter road choice, alluding that safety is all about you. If you act in an unsafe manner it could affect your family, friends, work and yourself.
The former YoTV and Tempy Pushas star died on April 28, 2018, in a car accident on the N6 near Queenstown, in Eastern Cape.
Former Joyous Celebration singer Siyasanga Kobese and actor Thobani Mseleni died in the same accident that claimed Jezile’s life.

Akhumzi was a friend and everything to his mother Zoleka Jezile, as a result, MaMaZo lit a candle last year in remembrance of her forever smiling son, Akhumzi Jezile, including others who died on the roads.
