Please say the ‘Chief’, chief. The wait is finally over, today award-winning rapper, Yanga Chief, returns with his new single ‘Ntoni Na’ featuring rappers Somnyama Omnyama aka Blxckie and PTA’s Real Plug, 25K!
The street single is the first single off his upcoming third album, ‘Pop Star 2’, and is available on all digital platforms today.

The rapper kicked off the release like no other as he teased the release with an IG posted captioned “Ixesha lisondele…” that saw the trio geared up in traditional attire. The post was followed by behind the scenes of his new music video, directed by Onkabetse Hlongwane.
The ‘Ntoni Na’ video premiered on MTV Base on Tuesday, 31st August.
When asked about the inspiration behind the single Yanga Chief said: “The song ‘Ntoni Na’ is about counting your blessing. In the first verse I touch on an abundance that I am grateful for, also touch on certain things that didn’t go my way, where I started. It is reflecting and understanding my entire journey at the end of it having a lot of gratitude.”
“I looked around in the industry right now at people that I think probably have a lot to be grateful for, Blxckie and 25K looked like they were grateful to be where they are and have worked hard to be where they are and understand themselves at the same level that I do.”
On working with Blxckie and 25K, Yanga said:
“As luck would have it, I ran into Blxckie in another studio session I was in, Blxckie was keen to do the verse and that inspired me to get 25k on the track, I thought that would be the perfect touch to ‘Ntoni Na’.
Pop Star 2 is his follow-up offering from his SAMA nominated debut album, ‘Pop Star’.
