“Let’s leave the Twitter activism actually. Shout Out, Good Luck, Strength, and prayers to those on the ground actually fighting this war for the right to education. Amandla,” says Supa Mega.
Supa Mega says that when the police fire at the students they don’t care if you wearing a red beret or a yellow t-shirt.
“Can anyone share details of the person who was killed today in Braam? We keep referring to him as “the guy” or “that person” … any details yet?” asked a furious Supa Mega.
“Really it’s stand up and get murdered! That’s it. Now they’ll get a minister to say some sh*t to distract us from the fact that they are out to silence us forever and the police are happy to oblige because what’s an oath to the people when I have a gun. Siyaqedwa,” says rapper Kwesta.
South Africa’s Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni was lambasted after he threw some silly comment/tweet: “My information is that there Was no student who was killed! Fake news circulating. No deserving student will be left out. Minister Ndzimande will deal with the matter tomorrow.”
“Doesn’t matter if he was a student or not. He’s a murdered human being. Like?” questioned Supa Mega.
“It doesn’t matter whether that was a student or what, the fact someone was killed and by the police… Also, they were beating up and arresting students… Stop tweeting nonsense,” charged @VusieTsala.
Supa Mega aka MR #FeesMustFall tweeted: “Aw man. Students closing down Empire and Jan Smuts intersection. This isn’t gonna end well.”
According to SABC News, one person has died after police fired rubber bullets at Wits University’s protesting students at the Braamfontein campus.
“Students having to fight for wanting access to education is the most saddest thing ever!” says Mohale Motaung.
“These police are letting criminals roam around all day but acting violently towards students. Fucking cowards,” says rapper @L_Tido.
According to reports the students have threatened to continue their protest today over the financial exclusion of students.
