Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo has added his 2-cents on the ongoing debate about the South African Olympic team’s official attire they rocked at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics on Friday!

On Monday Somizi Mhlongo acknowledged (before commenting on team SA Olympic attire) the fact that South Africa is back at adjusted level 3, encouraging everyone to keep safe and behave.
Somizi Mhlongo said that he felt like other AfricaCyriln countries represented their culture better than South Africa.
“Let’s talk about the outfits that were worn by South Africans at the opening ceremony of the Olympics… Hayi guys! Who woke up and decided that they should wear that. I don’t understand. Swaziland, Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria they were beautiful in their authentic cultural outfits… why do we always get it wrong … I was not impressed,” said Somizi Mhlongo.

Somizi Mhlongo said that the South African team decided to go to Zuurbekom (mocking their official attire).
Some locals said that the team looked like they were coming from “safari” and or “camping”. – Olympic.
