The Netflix stand-up special comes after Noah had announced that he will be leaving The Daily Show. This is after a seven-year-run. He really was gone for that long. He made the surprise announcement on September 29.
“I remember when we first started… so many people didn’t believe in us. [Appointing me as host] was a crazy bet to make. I still think it was a crazy choice, this random African. I just [find] myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s something that I never expected,” he said.
Noah continued, “I’ve loved hosting this show. It’s been one of my greatest challenges. It’s been one of my greatest joys. I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh even when the stories are particularly shitty on the worst days.”
His last day will be on December 8. Best wishes for his future endeavours!
