Thulisile Phongolo also known as Thuli Phongolo, is a South African actress and disc jockey. After the outrage of her booking fee on social media, many people went on to vent about her deejaying skills.
‘Booking the face not the skill’ they said. DJ Thuli P’s booking fees left many social media users with their jaws on the floor, and started making comparisons with other DJ’s in the industry.
Thuli also got dragged for her booking fee. Which includes an outrageous rider requirements. The DJ apparently charges R20 000 to perform and demands expensive champagne with a bottle of Remy Martin VSOP and mixers as well as hubbly bubbly.
Other requirements also include being booked flights and for accommodation to be taken care of.
Airlines to be used at strictly Fly SAA or British Airways and it must be business class while her manager flies economic. Transport to and from places must also be available. The accommodation must strictly be a hotel and it should be a five star. She also demands a security guard.
If you ask us, well, that is something else. But she is a lady with standards, what did we expect? Give the girl what she wants.

Actress and DJ, finally reacts to claims that she does not DJ during her sets. Some people have accused her of playing pre-mixes and mixtapes. Implying that she does not know anything about deejaying.
Thuli then took to her Instagram page to address the allegations that she does not know anything about being behind the decks. Several claims have been made. These include people saying her rumoured boyfriend DJ Maphorisa sometimes helps her behind the decks.
“My progress is more shocking than my slip-ups, they’re calling it a mixtape! Well, thanks for the compliment,” she said alongside a picture of her behind the decks.
Her deejaying skills also got dragged when she performed at Big Brother Mzansi. She got called out for apparently playing the full song whereas a DJ joins songs and has great transitions.
Many have raise their concerns with regards to her skills, but at the end of the day she continues to play and harness her skill. Like the likes of DJ Black Coffee, Kabza da Small and etc, they all started somewhere.
