A group of individuals calling themself The Megacy (AKA’s fans and supporters) are now up in arms in defense of their beloved AKA.
The Megacy claims that they know influencers, podcasts, and organizations that were allegedly paid to silence or get rid of AKA.
“We know influencers, podcasts, and organizations were paid in the hopes of silencing or getting rid of AKA, but we will forever come out in numbers to defend, and protect his legacy FREE oF CHARGE. Nothing the ones paying can do about it, nothing paid accounts can do about it, and that goes for Twitter naysayers too. The Megacy is bigger than social media. Even if you get 5 of us blocked, another 5 will come out and finish the work we started. We are not going anywhere,” reads a statement/note circulated on social media under the #tag #IamMegacy.
The Megacy says that in the years that their Idolo (AKA) has been in the industry, a lot of them have grown with him in his journey.
“In the years that our Idolo has been in the industry, a lot of us have grown with him in his journey. ~Went from being fans of his music to stans of the man himself. Apart from his undisputed catalog, a lot of us fell in love with his persona and who he was, not just for us as his stans but also who he was and still is for South Africa,” says The Megacy.
Additionally, The Megacy says: “Insinuations of such intelligent people being part of promo Twitter is quite impudent actually. The greatest paycheque we get on a daily though is having the greatest relationship with the man we named ourselves after. Which is what we realized a lot of people don’t understand or haven’t figured out yet, a lot of stanships can only wish for what we have.”

The Megacy says that they will remain a group that is for Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, “In the midst of storms we will still be here making sure that he knows that we care for him way beyond his career. He will never be silenced while we are still around. More hashtags will be created by us in his honor. We will continue to support anything and everything that has his name on it.”
The Megacy describes themselves as a group of individuals who are not only intelligent but very fierce as well. “We stand for what we stand for while being governed by our principles and values. The main thing we all stand for though is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes.”
