Prominent media analyst, businessman, and DJ, Andile Mathobela aka The Journalist releases his third single titled ‘Iphupha Lami’ featuring talented songstress Sobantwana and respected producer/DJ Curio Tones!

“Iphupha Lami is a very important song not just for me but for everyone who has been forced to start from scratch due to the Covid19 pandemic, 2020 has been a very challenging year for many people and Iphupha Lami is a song about making a choice to be okay and focus on your dreams even though the world is crumbling right under your feet,” says The Journalist.
The Warrenton, Northern Cape native has been a popular face for analyzing media trends on television and he recently launched a brand new digital magazine called TheJournalistDJ.com – however, he also dabbles in production as a house music DJ.

Going by the moniker, The Journalist, he is part of the underground DJ movement made up of Johannesburg club DJs labeled Live On Tour, whereby they host digital gigs due to the coronavirus.
The Journalist’s Oceans song with Garth Brown and Shi Kargo has been featured on 5FM’s #TheHouseConnect and his other work with Lima Alpha Uniform has gained traction in the UK, The Journalist plans on taking Iphupha Lami global.

The Journalist developed an ear for music at an early age.
His introduction to house music had him obsessed with memorizing and reciting complex beats to his friends in primary school after listening to some of his uncle’s house music compilations back in the early 2000s.
