Idols judge and Metro FM presenter Somizi Mhlongo launches his limited edition GH MUMM demi-sec champagne.
On Sunday the French champagne, which has been on the market for 200 years, unveiled Somizi Mhlongo’s demi-sec in a launch event that was held at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton, Joburg, which was graced by the likes of his husband Mohale, Basetsana Kumalo, close friend TT Mba and the brand’s team.

“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls I present to you… The one and only edition… LTD (limited) edition. GH Mumm x Somizi. The only one in Africa. To God be the glory. Available in all Makro stores,” says Somizi Mhlongo.
Somizi Mhlongo closed with a line that says, “I laugh in France, not in Franschhoek,” which was seen by some people as throwing shade to Bonang Matheba’s BNG.
Speaking with at the event Somizi Mhlongo said that he’s always been aligned wit fine things in life.
Somizi said that the brand saw an opportunity and. when they approached he didn’t hesitate because he always wanted to be part of it.

According to reports Somizi Mhlongo has been a brand ambassador for GH Mumm for two-years.
He said that they collaborated and produced a flavor that defines him and it is not a hundred percent a demi-sec but a combination of brut, demi-sec and rosé.
Fans who commented on Somizi’s Mhlongo’s post on Instagram said that Bonang Matheba’s BNG was a 4th Street that went to a private school.

With some saying on social media Bonang must watch her back because Somizi Mhlongo was after everything that Bonang is doing.
“Let us rejoice in France! Congratulations hun. To God be all glory and may your hard work continue to bring fruits,” said Bridget Masinga.
Other celebrities that congratulated Mhlongo were Anele Mdoda and DJ Zinhle to name just a few.
