Just a few weeks left in South Africa for Siya Kolisi and Rachel Kolisi before they relocate to Paris, France.
Siya played rugby for Cell C Sharks while he lived in Durban with his family. Later this year, Siya will join club Racing 92 of France.
“Rachel and the kids have sacrificed so much throughout my career and I am immeasurably grateful for this. The move to Racing 92 will enable me to spend more time with my family, which is something I have longed for, and this prospect played a significant part in my decision-making,” said Siya confirming move to Paris.
The family has been getting ready for the major move thanks to Rachel. For their children, Nicholas and Keziah, she has already found schools for them that side.
“Officially our last month in SA before our move to Paris, France. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and experience, but in the same breath devastated because I love SA with my whole heart. And I love being here,” she captioned her post.
Rachel says the last few weeks of preparing for the move have been a little crazy.
“Juggling A LOT at the moment, and the furthest thing from being ready for a move overseas. Also just found out we’re running into more joy in the visa department. I had a great conversation with someone this week and she told me this: “identify which balls can drop and bounce back up and which ones would break if they dropped and focus on those.”
Liyema and Liphelo, Siya’s younger siblings will also move to Paris with them.
What a bittersweet moment for the Kolisi family.
