A case of sexual assault has been opened against the embattled former Moja Love’s Bishop Makamu. This follows allegations that he asked a former employee/congregation member to have sex with!

The case has been registered at Midrand Police Station, in Gauteng. Apparently, the incident happened in 2017 when the alleged victim was only 17-years-old.
At the time, the now 21-year-old girl was working as a receptionist for Bishop Makamu.
According to Daily Sun, Captain Mavela Masondo said a sexual assault case will be allocated to the family violence, child protection, and sexual offenses unit for investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
The people’s paper also claims to have spoken with the victim’s father: “My daughter calls him daddy out of respect and he sees her as a wife. If he was near me I was going to beat him up.”

According to the publication, the father said that he confronted Bishop Makamu and wanted him to apologize to him and his daughter but that didn’t go as planned.

It is further alleged that Bishop Makamu told the father: “You don’t know who I am.”
Earlier this month, a voice clip was doing the rounds on social media where Bishop Makamu told the young woman he’d just dropped off someone and was coming to her.
In the clip, Bishop Makamu asks if no one will see him when he enters the place and proceeds to ask if she is alone.
When the lady confirmed that she was alone, Bishop Makamu asks: “Otlo mpha?” (will you give me). The lady can be heard repeatedly saying no, and Israel Makamu begged her, which she ends up saying she will give him on Sunday.
Moja Love (DStv Channel 157) also accepted Bishop Makamu’s decision to voluntarily step down from the channel pending an internal investigation after a recording with sexual connotations has been circulating on social media.
