Celebrated artist Selaelo Selota publicly joins the crusade against violence in our communities. He’ll be spearheading the new 916 Ways of Women Love campaign to contribute to the promotion of affection and tender care for women!

The #916 Ways campaign aspires to trigger a constructive and rational dialogue directed at quelling violence against women. More so, it seeks to help overcome gender-based violence via the expression of adoration and appreciation of women and children.
Selaelo Selota challenges himself to regularly craft and posts heartfelt messages directed at stimulating others to join the 916 Ways of Women Love train.

“An open invitation goes out to lovers to hashtag #916 Ways in video posts or written messages communicating a message of tenderness for women or a woman. The thrust of the campaign is that we should, for the longest time into the future, make trendy the affection we receive from and give to women. Let’s spread the word about the healthy adoration we have for women. Let love for women trend,” says an ebullient Selaelo Selota.
Selaelo Selota says he’s also aware of the behavior adopted through observation and influence, making sense to invite men and women to share, under the banner of #916 Ways, positive relationship stories of their lives.

“I am also aware of the behavior adopted through observation and influence. So, I thought it would make sense to invite men and women to share, under the banner of #916 Ways, positive relationship stories of their lives. I do no doubt a collective good news narrative could go a long way to encourage others, especially abusive men, to follow constructive examples,” says Selaelo Selota.
Other activities around the campaign are yet to be revealed, and some are in line with Selaelo Selota’s love for development.

Giving a hint, Selaelo Selota speaks of an existing plan to invite emerging composers to write songs to sing or talk men out of violence.
“It could be music about the love, appreciation, and protection of women and children. With the necessary resources gathered, the best compositions could be curated and live-streamed, at least at some point.”
Closest to Selaelo Selota’s heart is the love and protection of women and children. The award-winning artist is a loving husband, a father to girls and has a horde of female fans. Lolita, a song that calls for grown-ups to shower a vulnerable child with love, features in Selota’s ground-breaking SAMA winning debut album, Painted Faces.

The 916 Ways of Women Love campaign launches on August 14 and run until 10 December 2020, the last day of 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children.
