The public has been shaking the timeline on twitter with their outraged on why the two actress were not nominated for the SAFTAs. The two actresses are indeed, two of South African’s favourites and the public is not happy with the SAFTAs.
Sannah Chunu has been in the industry for years. there is not a week where the actress’s talent is not talked about. The actress is best known for her roles in eKasi: Our Stories, Muvhango, The River and, Gomora. The actress plays her roles with passion and many viewers enjoy her on their screens.
Mbalenhle Mavimbela known for her roles in the telenovela, The Wife and etv telenovela Isipho gave viewers her best performances. The actress proved her talent as an actress. Her character as Hlomu in The Wife took viewers on a rollercoaster.
A Twitter user said “Sannah Mchunu deserved a nod for her role on Gomora. #SAFTAs16 organsisers need to come and explain how do they pick nominees for the awards…
Just saw the #SAFTAs16 nominees. I'm so disappointed for the Best Lead Actress category. Where the hell is Mbalenhle Mavimbela's name!! Can't something be done about this?#SAFTAs16

In the list Phil Mphela had posted of the actresses who did not get nominated, Thando Thabethe and Thembi Seete were included.
Thando replied to Phil’s tweet and said “Thanks Phil, I stand corrected but i think we (housekeeprs) only qualify for entry, based on released date, next year”. The actress hopes next year she will be nominated.
Viewers are hoping that the actresses will get nominated for coming awards.
