Artist Lebani Sirenje, famously known as Rasta, has displayed paintings of the late Queen Elizabeth II who was Queen of the United Kingdom from 6 February 1952 until her death on 8 September 2022.

Celebrity painter, Rasta who is renowned for painting portraits of prominent South Africans at their funerals has made headlines with his quest to board to London. Following the passing of the Queen yesterday.
Sirenje hopes to make the death of the Queen monumental through his paintings, and of course one for the history books.
In fact, the controversial artist revealed a picture of the late monarch on Twitter, a few minutes after her death on Thursday night. The man is at work, he never rests!
Rasta paints Queen Elizabeth, however social media users have their opinions on whether it is good enough to take him to London.

With news of Queen Elizabeth’s death topping the Twitter trends list for various reasons, so did Rasta and his artwork of the royal.
“Rasta is too fast, the Queen’s death was announced only 10 minutes ago!”, quipped one tweep of the artist’s quick fingers.
In pursuit of flying to the UK, other followers had their own reservations against the painters mission. Expressing that his painting might not be any good.
Meanwhile, Rasta is asking for donations from his followers for him to fly to the UK to paint another portrait of Queen Elizabeth amid funeral proceedings.
Best of luck to the painter! He might after all get donations which will not stop him from pursuing his dream.
