Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has thanked South African head of state President Cyril Ramaphosa for his acknowledging him and his success at the Egyptian football club based in Cairo!

A humble Pitso Mosimane took to social media to thank President Cyril Ramaphosa for acknowledging his humble contribution to the Continent.
“The President has spoken. Ndo livhuwa @PresidencyZA, @CyrilRamaphosa, for acknowledging my humble contribution to the Continent. I am inspired by your words,” wrote Pitso Mosimane.
Pitso Mosimane secured a trophy with the Red Devils at the weekend.

In 2020, Pitso Mosimane led the Egyptian side to CAF Champions League glory, and he has done it once again as they secured the CAF Super Cup, beating RS Berkane recently.
Pitso Mosimane is South Africa’s award-winning football manager, CAF coach of the year, Premier Soccer League coach of the season (multiple times), and he is about changing the game for good.
Pitso Mosimane announced his resignation from Mamelodi Sundowns in 2020.
“It is with a sense of pain that I announce my departure from Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club. I have accepted an offer to join an international team.“Mamelodi Sundowns has been my family for almost eight years. The president Dr. Patrice Motsepe has been like a father to me. He has been a mentor, a friend, a supporter, and a confidante. I could never quit him or Mamelodi Sundowns. I am only going away to carry the spirit of the Yellow Nation with me,” said Pitso Mosimane in a statement released last year.

Pitso Mosimane said that after winning five league titles with Mamelodi Sundowns – the 10th for the club “how can a man ever find it easy to say goodbye to his home? How can I say goodbye to the family, the board, the supporters, and the fans?
“From the deepest of my heart, I am so grateful that the President has blessed my move. I did not expect less from a man who has been so good and generous to me,” said Pitso Mosimane.
