No small feat for a rising newcomer, Nhlonipho’s Uzanini has been featured on the below-coveted playlist charts.
“This is a soulful song. I strongly believe that music that has soul catches people’s hearts,” expresses Nhlonipho.
Inspired by a real-life experience, Nhlonipho’s Uzanini is a song about the party/groove life, where one partner is trying to convince the other that he/she has prepared everything to go out.

Nhlonipho won his first Solo competition when he joined his primary school’s choir, and later received 5 Tennor Soloist trophies in High School and College.
Nhlonipho studied music in 2015 and now holds a Diploma in Music Performance (piano) and a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Nhlonipho relocated to Johannesburg in 2015 where he works as a lecturer in Music Theory & Keyboard Technique at Digmac Media College in Braamfontein, which he says has taught him a lot of patience.
“Working as a teacher has made me realize that people have different strengths, and you need to make sure that everyone in your class is moving the same pace,” says Nhlonipho.
