Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, professionally known as Nasty C, is not only a skilful rapper renowned for being an award-winning hip-hop star. But he is also a huge fan of video games.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, September 20, the Black and White hitmaker revealed that he has sealed a deal with Call of Duty. A popular first-shooter game, that was first launched in 2003.
Congratulations are in order! In celebration of the game landing in South Africa, Nasty C will be the face of the Call of Duty: Mobile campaign.
Nasty C partners with Call of Duty and according to its website, it is the world’s best-selling video game. The popular game is a “first-shooter” experience set in World War II.
As previously mentioned in a statement shared on the rapper’s Instagram account. Followers will be able to experience the game at Comic Con Africa in Johannesburg between Thursday, September 22 and Sunday, September 25.
It is quite a big deal that the rapper has bagged with Call of Duty: Mobile. Particularly to bring the game to Mzansi for avid gamers.
“I’ve been a gamer all my life and it’s amazing to partner with Carry 1st and Call of Duty: Mobile to the next generation of players across the country!” said the 25-year-old rapper.
“I’m excited to show off Call of Duty: Mobile to the next generation of players across the country.”
Captioning the Instagram post, the rapper wrote: “This is only the start of what’s gonna be an EPIC journey!!! GRATEFUL!!!”
The Durban-born star started his Ivyson Army tour on May 7. Travelling to Bloemfontein, Durban, Cape Town, Pretoria and Johannesburg.
After a successful tour, Nasty C released his new project, Ivyson Army Tour Mixtape on September 16.
The 10-track project is Nasty C’s first body of work since his 2020 album, Zulu Man With Some Power. Ivyson Army Tour Mixtape features the likes of Blxckie, Emtee, Nadia Nakai, Cassper Nyovest and T.I’s son, Domani.
