ACTRESS Nambitha Mpumlwana has decided to take another stance and she’s calling Luyanda Botha’s mother out as she wants South Africa to help her punish her alleged murderer and rapist child.
“As far as I’m concerned, women in my country are an endangered species,” – Miss SA Zozibini Tunzi.
On Monday social media detectives exposed the guy who allegedly raped and murdered the University of Cape Town’s media and film student, Uyinene Mrwetyana (19).
“To the mother of #LuyandaBotha How can we help you punish your child so that every man in this country knows that his #MamaIsWatching,” says Nambitha Mpumlwana.
She says that she chooses to not forgive nor tolerate anyone who defends this behavior. Even as a joke.
“Someone asked me in an interview a few days ago if I thought we had a successful women’s month this year? And I thought to myself- how? When we’re dying for being women. As far as I’m concerned, women in my country are an endangered species. Stop killing us,” says Zozibini.
According to eNCA the man has been charged with murder and rape. Uyinene was last seen alive at a Post Office in Mowbray, where the suspect works.
He reportedly beat her up before assaulting her. Blood was found at the Post Office. The NPA has confirmed that the body found in Khayelitsha is that of Uyinene. Bail has been opposed and the case has been postponed till the 5th of November.
Uyinene Mrwetyana, a first-year film and media studies student, has been missing for nine days and was last seen at the Cleremont area in Cape Town.
