According to TV station Moja Love, it will keep an eye on the developments of the case against Uyajola/99 host Jub Jub and “let the law take its course.”
Following the issuance of an arrest warrant for him, Jub Jub appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday to answer to two counts of attempted murder, three counts of rape, and one act of assault.
He was released on R10 000 bail after denying all the charges.
According to the NPA, one of the complaints filed a rape case in February 2022, alleging that the occurrences occurred between 2006 and 2009, while she was seeing him.
“She decided to approach the police following Maarohanye’s degrading comments about her on a podcast,” said the NPA.
More women thought it was time to come forward and share their stories after witnessing Amanda du-Pont speak out about her ordeal on social media.

In 2021, the rapper gained notoriety after appearing as a guest on MacG’s Podcast and Chill.
He said in the podcast that his ex-girlfriend Amanda du-Pont was “one of the ladies” he had “smashed”.
“I was dating Amanda, she was still at AFDA. The relationship went on for about three years, We stayed together in the south. I thought so too that it would be a hit and run until…there were just so many temptations. Me being with Amanda was never about me cheating on her,” said Jub Jub.
In retaliation, Amanda took to Instagram in a video and accused Jub Jub for raping her during the course of their relationship.

“He suffocated me. He literally suffocated me,” she alleged at that time in the video.
Jub Jub apologised to Amanda for “humiliating” her following social media outrage.
Despite having stated that he intended to open a case against Amanda for the rape claims she levelled against him, he later apologised for his “choice of words” when describing their relationship.
Jub Jub’s case was postponed to 24 August.
