“For the 25th September edition of Presenter Search on 3 – the contestants were given an insert challenge, which meant taking them out of their comfort zones. The inserts presented by Olwethu Nodada, Simphiwe Harrison Mkhize, and Mncedisi Sindane were judged the weakest,” says Patience Stevens – Executive Producer of the show.
Patience Stevens says that viewers were given a chance to vote, live and to save one of the contestants from doing a challenge in the bottom two. The viewers voted to save Olwethu Nodada, not Mncedisi Sindane.

“The elimination challenge, between Mncedisi Sindane and Simphiwe Harrison Mkhize was to link out of another’s contestants insert, into Katlego in the kitchen within thirty seconds. Simphiwe ran short on the 30 seconds and Mncedisi did not link to Katlego in the kitchen, and that’s why he lost the challenge. The judges decided to send Mncedisi Sindane home,” says Patience Stevens.
On Wednesday evening Mncedisi Sindane took to social media to thank all those that supported him throughout the entire journey of Presenter Search On 3.

“As per the terms and conditions, the decision of the judges, the producers of the show – and the broadcaster – SABC3 – is final. Mncedisi has a personal following of over two thousand people – which could account for the number of tweets regarding this,” says Patience Stevens.
