If you have a television or cellphone or even just live under the same South African sun as us, you have probably heard of Minnie Dlamini. The actress, model, and TV presenter turns a year older today.
And can be considered an example of how to maintain composure and a successful career even when life hands you bitter lemons. The media personality has been experiencing major life changes, from becoming a mother to divorcing her husband.
The Home Ground presenter introduced Mzansi to her then fiancé Quinton Jones in a docuseries titled Becoming Mrs Jones in 2017. This is where viewers got an intimate look at a love that seemed like it would last a lifetime between the couple.
Unfortunately, that love came to a shocking end in February when Minnie officially announced that she and Quinton’s divorce was final. Reflecting upon Dlamini’s online behaviour, it would appear that the media personality has been on a rollercoaster of emotions.
Following the news of Ricky Rick’s untimely death, Minnie had said that the news could have easily been about her. This could have likely been as a result of the cyberbullying she has faced over the years and after rumours spread that she had cheated on Quinton, leading to their divorce. She quickly dismissed these rumours.
Despite the chatter around her love life and emotional state, Minnie Dlamini has recently embarked on the wonderful journey of motherhood. Minnie welcomed the birth of her first child in November of 2020 making her son a year and 7 months old.
Although Minnie does not open up much about her baby, she has made posts about how life-changing it has been becoming a mother. She has also said that her son makes her very happy. Dlamini shared an adorable video of her toddler play-washing his toddler-size Range Rover.
The media personality has been jetting all over the world and living her best life, silencing naysayers. Minnie could be seen educating Instagram on how to do the “s-pose” on the sandy beaches of Tanzania. The next minute she is on a Jozi raceway posing in front of a Juaguar sports cars. Just when we think she might let us breathe, Minnie is dusting the streets of Paris with her powerful catwalk in Jessica Jane designer couture.
Minnie Dlamini recently posted a video montage of herself behind the scenes on Home Ground, a sports and entertainment show she co-hosts with Lungile Radebe. The post was captioned “Live TV every week for 12 years? Not bad baby girl…” .
This was in celebration of her lengthy live TV presenting career. Minnie proves that beyond all else, she’s certainely going to get her bag! Looking ahead of her 32nd, Minnie made a post captioned: “We have entered the season of Cancer ♋️ 07/07 BDAY LOADING… ”.
