Menzi Ngubane’s family has been hit with double mourning, this follows the death of his father Bab’ uNgubane!eteran Actor
According to Daily Sun a family spokesperson, Naomi Mokhele confirmed that his 90-year-old father also passed away.
The details around the death of Bab’ uNgubane are still sketchy. The family is still preparing for Menzi Ngubane to be laid to rest in his hometown Ladysmith, in the Uthukela District of KwaZulu-Natal this Saturday.
According to reports, Bab’ uNgubane died on Tuesday.
Bab’ uNgubane celebrated his 90th birthday in March last year, and these were Menzi Ngubane’s words to him: “Happy Father’s Day Baba, Mbomvu, Ngcukumane, Nyoni Emnyama Ebizwa Ngamakhwela Emazibukweni, Sihlahla Somlalane Esadliwa Umabhoshobane, Vathu Oluphezulu Ngoba Oluphansi Olabafokazane, Ncuncu Ephuza Kwezinde Eziziba Ngoba Ingaphuza Kwezimfushane Ulomo Uyaye Ubuye Nodaka, uSomahhashi (praising clan name). And Happy Father’s Day to ALL the fathers in the world.”
“This past weekend marked the most important celebration in my life. My dad turned 90yrs & my Queen and I decided to bring family & friends together to honor our most cherished gentleman, my dad. I feel very blessed to have him in my life, as much as I’m a father myself, I consider myself a son to him and still run to him for advice. He’s the strongest human being I’ve ever known, knowledgeable & I’m humbled to experience and learn from his wisdom. Siyakuhalalisela Baba…” wrote Menzi Ngubane.

Times Live claims to have spoken to a family member who did not want to be named: “The family is devastated, as you can imagine. It was a great shock to all of us and we are still trying to make sense of it. We are still mourning Menzi and coming to terms with the loss when this happened.”
Menzi Ngubane’s mother has also passed away many years ago.
Menzi Ngubane who played the role of Sibusiso Dhlomo on Generations died on March 13, after suffering a stroke at his home. Ngubs was 56-years-old when he passed on, and is survived by his wife Sikelelwa (MaNgubane), and two daughters.
The publication also reports that the family member said Menzi’s wife was still struggling to come to terms with her husband’s death but was trying to “stay strong”.
Menzi Ngubane was rushed to hospital in 2012 with organ failure and in 2014 underwent a kidney transplant.
