Outspoken Owls, a new podcast created by the late rapper AKA’s mother Lynn Forbes, seeks to redefine what it means to be a middle-aged woman.
Katie Mohamed will join Lynn as they attempt to have candid dialogues, continuing the growing trends of podcasts.
The dynamic combination of Katie and Lynn have used their strong voices and wisdom to openly discuss events and offer a fresh perspective on the world.
“We are thrilled to launch Outspoken Owls and look forward to sharing insights and experiences via storytelling to our audience,” said Katie, the executive director at Brandfusion and founder of W-Suite – a woman empowerment initiative.
Outspoken Owls provides unapologetically opinionated, entertaining, educational, and engaging conversations. Although there is a deliberate inclination towards women’s issues, each episode does not focus specifically on women.
Katie quipped: “Women will relate to the podcast – but many men will learn from it. And I think both those audiences are important.”
Lynn, who is also a wellness coach and motivational speaker, said she hopes the podcast will faster conversation between the hosts and their listeners.
“We have stories to share that I feel will inspire our audience, but we also want to learn from our audience, whether they relate to our shared experiences.”
Katie and Lynn amis to assist audience with lugging the heavy and making life a little bit lighter.
The Outspoken Owls podcast will be officially launching in Johannesburg on Wednesday, 2 August 2023.
