Mampintsha’s mother, Zamanguni Gumede, is reportedly currently hospitalised in a public hospital. This is after her health deteriorated following the passing of her son. Who had been laid to rest on December 30.
She is said to have suffered a stroke and hospitalised shortly after laying her son to rest.

Speaking to Zimoja, Mampintsha’s sister, Pinky Gumede revealed that their mother had not been well since her husband passed away in 2016.
“Ever since her husband died in 2016, she hasn’t been okay. She had liver complications, but she is now worse. When Mandla died, she wasn’t even drinking alcohol anymore,” said Pinky.
The sister also mentioned that their mother is struggling to come to terms with Mampintsha’s passing.
Pinky said that since her brother’s death, her mother has since been unwell and her health has become worse.

Mrs. Gumede is reportedly unable to speak and walk.
“She is not taking Mandla’s death well. She started feeling ill before him but got worse when he was first admitted to the hospital. When she heard the news of his death, she became even more ill,” she added.
Pinky said that their mother had a stroke, just like Mampintsha, and her liver is also said to have been affected. She revealed that at the funeral and memorial service, they had to assist her.
“But her stroke is not bad. She will not be disabled if she takes her medication. She has not been able to eat properly, and that is affecting how she takes her medication.”
Mampintsha’s sister has asked members of the public to assist her financially as she wants to move her to a private hospital. Since she doesn’t have the money to do so herself.
“I don’t have money to do that. I am appealing to the public to assist me so I can get her the best treatment,” she concluded.
