Legendary actor Bab’ Macdonald Mathunjwa has passed away. His daughter Zanoxolo Mathunjwa the news of his passing was confirmed by his daughter Zanoxolo Mathunjwa on Twitter Tuesday morning!

“RIP daddy, #hearbroken MacDonald Ndodana Mathunjwa passed away today,” wrote Zanoxolo Mthunjwa.
Macdonald Mathunjwa is a South African actor and music producer best known for his role as Oupa in the SABC1 comedy series Khululeka.
Macdonald Mathunjwa also starred as Tshibaphi in the SABC1 drama series Intsika, in 2011. He also acted in the SABC1 mini-series uGugu no Andile, based on the Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet, in 2008.
Macdonald Marthunjwa is also known for his role as Vusi in Home Affairs, including Rev Phiri in Bone of Bones.

Condolences and messages of support have been pouring in since Zanoxolo Mthunjwa announced the news of her father’s passing this morning.
“So sorry for your loss. Such a legend” wrote Miss Pru DJ.
“So sorry for your loss Noxy, whenever your dad (Macdonald Mathunjwa) played a role he embodied the father figure and didn’t look or sound like he was acting. A very authentic person through the screen, may his soul RIP,” said Ncumi Gouwe.
“This man taught me a lot about the SA constitution on Khululeka in the late 90s,” said @Siyabashaya.

“I remember him singing “voting is Moja” RIP to a legend that taught us our rights,” said Jason Khumalo.
“Oh lilele ixhego, I’ve enjoyed watching him over the years. May his soul rest in perfect peace and I pray comfort upon you and the family. Now I’d suggest you look forward to that great resurrection morning when the trumpet shall sound! God be with you and the family,” wrote Asipe Nyabali.
