Singer Zandie Khumalo has hit out at people who tend to celebrate other people’s downfalls. Saying that “we” celebrate these more than people’s success!
Zandie Khumalo said that her fight with Kelly Khumalo was shared on my platforms.
“I woke up early today cos I have an early flight but let me pick your brain a bit before I hop on to that flight… Why is it that we as people like to celebrate other people’s downfalls more than we celebrate their come-ups, why do we put other people’s failures or downfalls on loudspeakers, loud hailers, and screenshots but we mute and bluetick their wins? Is it because we relate more to failures than wins in our own lives?” questioned Zandie Khumalo.
The singer said that when somebody wins it’s something foreign to “us” and “we” don’t know how to react to it or amplify it because we are not used to celebrating wins.
“So when somebody wins its something that’s very foreign to us and we don’t know how to react to it or to amplify it coz asiyijwayele in our own lives and when someone fails we are like “Nayi ke into esiyijwayele nesiyaziyo thina” then you call a friend, you get into a WhatsApp group and send screenshots and voice notes,” said Zandie Khumalo.

She said that when she fought with her sister, Kelly Khumalo everyone knew in few hours and had opinions about it.
“‘Zandie Khumalo fights with her sister’ BOOM everyone knows in a few hours and have opinions, basically indaba sekungeyabo, ‘Zandie’s song goes gold’ a very few care or know even tho it was shared through the same platforms the fight with her sister was shared on,” said Zandie Khumalo.
The singer said that we should learn to celebrate people’s wins more than we do their failures.
“Bakwethu let’s learn to celebrate people’s wins more than we do their failures so that we also get accustomed more to winning than losing so that we also attract the winning spirit coz at the end of the day, light drives out darkness any day and love always outweighs the hate. Hope you have yourselves a great week,” said Zandie Khumalo.
