A local business based in Eldoradopark which is situated in Gauteng. As Kim Jayde explained in her post, they are a shoe cleaning service that provides quality cleaning for very affordable prices. They also provide laundry and dry cleaning services apart from the sneaker cleaning. In doing so they offer to collect and deliver the items once the service has been done. Kim Jady is correct in empowering local businesses as there are many benefits that come with the “support local” movement. A greater share of the revenue gained from these locally owned businesses is redirected into our economy and basically benefits us at the end. Stating the obvious is that these businesses have the potential of employing people which means they help create job opportunities in our communities.
Just imagine if a company such as Drip Clean grew to a point where there were branches all over the country and we no longer had excuses as the youth to go to groove with dirty kicks! That would be the life, and such can happen if we do as Kim Jayde said. Make it a habit to support one another as people of colour!
