Independent, fast-rising hip-hop and trap artist Kiki X Chucky premieres the official music video for his latest hit single The Price Went Up on the 17th July 2021!
Kiki X Chucky’s music video was self-directed along with Tonika Dunn. The video is a visual narrative that features the artist with several of his thugs portraying the deceptions youngsters have on how to fulfill their materialistic desires.

The Price Went Up has been making waves across the country with Kiki X Chucky receiving much praise for his rap style and flow on the track. The music video comes fresh on the heels of the artist’s banger making waves.
Ahead of the premiere of the official music video, Kiki X Chucky shared, “I’m trying to rage with the kids, the music video puts my lyrics into a short film for my 444 fans.”
2021 has been the breakthrough year for 21-year-old KiKi X Chucky, who has seen himself elevate into the rap scene. Like any other artists, Kiki X Chucky faces competition in the music industry and has revealed that he focuses on “inspiring not competing.”
KiKi X Chucky added, “This is one of the best projects I have ever worked on, and trust me, the music video is a banger. I can guarantee you that.”

Known for his recent hit single, The Price Went Up, KiKi X Chucky is becoming a sensation in the music industry solidifying his name as the ‘Hardest Rager’ in South Africa.
KiKi X Chucky, whose real name is Liam Michael Jordhan Marsh, is a hip-hop and trap artist who was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. Kiki X Chucky’s love for music began at a very young age when he used to take the spotlight by singing and dancing amongst other kids. His interest in music then began to grow at the age of 10, when he started to record songs using his mother’s phone.
Since then, his dedication to growing himself as an artist, using his life experiences to write his music emerged, “The inspiration behind my music comes from my life experiences, what I go through, whether it is negative or positive and putting all of that into lyrics and have people relate to my music,” he said.
In 2020, he released his first EP titled Redamancy featuring Mikhale which consisted of 12 songs. He expressed how the EP is an outlet for his fans to understand his emotions and his lyricism. He later released a couple of singles including Boys Cry Too, 5 Gold Rings and Nandos.
Breaking down the meaning behind his name KiKi X Chucky, the X separates his two personalities. KiKi represents the loving and passionate personality while Chucky comes from the famous character ‘Chucky’ in the movie ‘Child’s Play’ which represents his description of the ‘Hardest Rager’ in South Africa.
He has named his fanbase ‘444’ which represents an angelic number symbolizing the protection from negative energies in his musical journey. “It is a number and symbol of protection and encouragement against all negative and evil energies surrounding us; a sign that you are currently following the right path,” said Kiki X Chucky.
He is passionate about being a voice against sexual harassment that women experience especially in the entertainment industry. He is also passionate about helping uplift young people in local communities and enjoys playing soccer.
