“Disses”, “Battle Raps”, “Pars”; whatever you like call them are owned by none other than Mr Cashtime, K.O. If ever you needed proof that opening your mouth about K.O will rarely be taken lying down, you definitely need to hear his new freestyle… people be catching strays!
Titled ‘Forecast 2023’, the freestyle kicks-off with K.O praying to his higher power, seeking protection and guidance as he spits bars:
“Ngiguqe ngedolo ng’cel’ iNkos’ ing’size, something that I often seek/ Uk’vikeleka njalo when I walk the street/ Nginik’ ubuhlakani, the gift of the gab and the rawest beats.”
The rapper forecasts his upcoming accolades and apologises for killing the game:
“I’m sorry askies, uMdal’ ofeza zonk’ iyifiso/ We been bringing home the bacon while they’re talking beef and trophy season’s coming up it’s a couple SAMAs that belong to me.”
Somewhere in the freestyle, he seems to be calling out Ntukza who he doesn’t mention by name, but the lines can only be directed at the former member of Teargas:
“Uthando noxolo that’s what I’m truly on/ Uyinja yami but fede asishayisan’ iminyak’ eyishumi yonke/ And every time I’m thinking you’re wiser ntwana you prove me wrong/ Asik’phenduli noma ungas’tweet’ uyibhari ekhuluma yodwa and every chance oyitholay’ uhlala ukhulum’ inyongo/ Let the fans hear it from me, fuck a reunion.”
What excited our Mgosi glands is when K.O addresses LadyDu for her reaction to ‘SETE’ going gold and delves into political issues as he raps about Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala saga. But it’s not all war, as K.O expresses his gratitude to Young Stunna and Blxckie with whom he collaborated on the “record of the summer 2022.”
