Controversial Moja Love’s show Uyajola 9/9 has been confirmed to hit your telly in April and former rapper Jub Jub is still the presenter billed to present the show!

“Uyajola is coming back in April 2020. The team is currently in production and Jub Jub will be the presenter,” said Moja Love head of production – Bokani Moyo.
In 2019 South Africans were introduced to Uyajola 9/9, a show similar to the American TV series Cheaters. We went through laughter and sadness while watching the show, which some categorized as a show that is using black people’s miserable lives for television ratings.

After many weeks of dramatic episodes, the show went on some hiatus. According to various reports, the break came after complaints following an episode in which a man, who was found cheating on his wife, was assaulted.
The Broadcasting Complaints Commission of SA (BCCSA) confirmed (then) it did receive complaints about the episode, but registrar Shouneez Martin said the decision to take a show off the air does not lie with them.
It was also reported that Moja Love said it doesn’t mean that it was the end of Uyajola 9/9 because of people’s complaints to the BCCSA.

Apparently, the production company chose to take a short break from filming Uyajola 9/9 as they have been doing it for some time.
So far, nothing is confirmed whether Uyajola 9/9 will come back with changes or measures to address and or follow up on the people featured on the show to see if they do maintain peace.

Uyajola 9/9 was also rubbished as a “lie” after claims that those featured on the show received some payments to be featured on the show.
In one of the so-called fake episodes, Uyajola 9/9 left viewers shocked when they found a certain atchar lady in bed with her new lover. That’s when viewers started to question the show as a “lie”.
A petition on change.org that aimed at getting votes to cancel the show only reach above 1000 signatures out of the 1500 minimum.

“This show violates our privacy. It destroys families and lives in general. Sign this petition to have it taken down from our TV,” reads the petition started by Kholofelo Masha.
Uyajola 9/9 will be back in your screens in April 2020 on Moja Love.
