South African DJ and businesswoman Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, revealed the reason she did not want to get married on the first episode of the second season of her reality show. Which aired on BET Africa on August 6.
However, on the very same episode of DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected the businesswoman dropped a bombshell that she is married!
Although she did not want to get married in the last season. That changed as she and Murdah Bongz talked things through and she said that she is now his wife.
DJ Zinhle revealed that her “baby daddy” Bongani Mohosana, famously known as Murdah Bongz, came over to her mom’s house for her lobola negotiations. She said that she is married and loves telling everyone. Murdah Bongz and DJ Zinhle also welcomed their first baby together, Asante Mohosana in September 2021.

The businesswoman also has seven-year-old Kairo Forbes with rapper AKA. She revealed that she never wanted to get married and she was never with someone she wanted to marry. Was she throwing shade at AKA?
The pair were in an on-and-off relationship for a while but AKA allegedly cheated on the Umlilo hitmaker with media personality Bonang Matheba.
DJ Zinhle opened up about her not wanting to get married and mentioned that she was not ready at the time and had never aspired to.
“I just never had ambitions to get married. I never wanted it, I never felt like I was with anyone I wanted to marry but Bongani and I spent a lot of time talking about it thinking about what we want to do,” she said on an episode of DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected.
DJ Zinhle also discloses that her “baby daddy” Murdah Bongz wants to be called “husband.” Adding that there has been a lot of changes that had been made since.
“Bongani wants to be served husband. He doesn’t want to be called boyfriend anymore. There has been a lot of changes since you guys last saw me,” she said.
So, she went on to explain that six months ago. Murdah Bongz and his family came over to her mom’s house for their lobola negotiations. She said that they wanted something small and lowkey and clearly saved the news for her reality show!
“Bongani and his family came to my mom’s house to negotiate lobola. And we decided that it should be a small thing, with just family,” she continued.
“I’m excited to be his wife, I’m excited to try something I never would of thought would happen for me. So now I’m married and I love telling people that,” she expressed.
