947 radio personality, Thando Thabethe has reportedly filed for a protection order against actor and media personality, Lunga Shabalala. Thabethe claims that Shabalala’s obsessive behaviour is her reason for filing a protection order.
Thando Thabethe on why she filed for a protection order against her ex-boyfriend Lunga Shabalala, as reported by City Press:
“Mr Shabalala has exhibited strange behaviour, including following me and breaking into my house. The urgency of obtaining this order today is that he was threatening to prohibit one of my TV shows from airing. I have received correspondence from his attorneys. I fear for my safety, and do not know how he will react once the show is aired. He is constantly stalking and harassing me, and I don’t want the situation to escalate.”
Here is a number of incidents Thando entailed in her protection order:
3 March – Mr Shabalala couldn’t reach me on my phone and tailgated into my residential complex under the guise of needing to fetch his belongings. When he realised I was not home, he called my best friend a number of times and went on to ask her for the location of my work engagements.
5 May – Mr Shabalala arrives at my place of work, followed me to my car.
12 May – Mr Shabalala once again followed me, this time from work to a nearby restaurant.
On other occasion, I went to Durban and he got upset, feeling he needed to know who I was travelling with.
Thando and Lunga first parted ways in 2020. However, they have been going back and forth with their romantic relationship between 2021 and 2022. The lovey couple officially called it quits in a messy breakup late 2022.

The Unstoppable Thabooty reality show is currently airing on BET Africa, even after the threats Lunga made about stopping the show from airing.
The 947 presenter reportedly, dumped Lunga Shabalala for the sports personality, Robert Marawa. The dating spark rumour started when Thando and Robert were seen looking all affectionate and holding hands on a date.
