Fundiswa Nokuphiwa Mathithibala laid a charge on the 6th of September 2020 with Midrand Police Station, that was when the footballer got arrested following an incident that took place at the stars’ residence and was later released on R2000 bail. Fundiswa told The National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa: that she was visiting Lorch when he left her at his home to go out with his friend. She saw that it was getting late and messaged him to return her car keys. On arrival, an argument ensued and Lorch became violent towards her and started to strangle her, beat her whilst pulling her up and down. She called for help and his friend came to her rescue.

The victim wrote a celebratory post on Insta:
Talk about kicking a dog when its down, Mandla tweeted: “I saw Thembinkosi Lorch trending alongside Cristiano Ronald then I thought he signed a big deal abroad, kanti wehhhhh!!!”
The law has finally caught up with Lorch after Fundiswa fought for years.
