Having recently announced our nominees for the #HipHopKult-Ure themed, 11th Annual South African Hip Hop. The event has finally had its day and the day came with some huge celebratory moments for our artists.
Held at the Gold Reef City Lyrical Theatre, The South African Hip Hop Awards aims to celebrate and honour the success and contribution of the artists in the local Hip Hop industry.
Hats-off to Khuli Chana who has been announced as the winner for the Ubuntu Activism Award. The Ubuntu Activism consists of efforts to promote, impede, direct, or intervene in social, economic, or environmental reform with the desire to make changes in society toward a perceived greater good using hip hop as a tool. This award is mainly to reward a hip hop activist who is giving back to his/her community.

UMG would like to extend a huge congratulations to Maglera Doe boy. Who won the award in the category ‘Best Male’ and SkhandaWorld. Including the award in the category ‘Mixtape of the year’ for their “Welcome To the Planet’ mixtape.
