The hosts left on a high note as they penned sweet messages to each other on Instagram, wishing each other the best for future endeavours.
Justin said, “Had the absolute best ride with you! Grateful for the past year. And grateful to have made a friend for life! Onwards and upwards to better things!!!”
Unathi shared the same sentiments, “FAVOURITE Radio Co Host to date. A friend for life. My TWIN. Just’ God DID THAT. I love you darling. Take your flowers my friend.”
Unathi was fired from Kaya FM but landed this radio gig shortly afterwards. She said, “Guys it seems like this radio thing doesn’t want to let me go. Because from the first of March you know what’ll be doing? I’m going to be driving you home. WHAT? Three to six drive time first of March, I’ll see you then, I’ll see you there,” she said.
The reason for her firing was due to some conduct, “Ms. Nkayi’s contract has ended prematurely due to certain conduct that rendered the relationship intolerable going forward. Kaya 959 can confirm that certain incidents had occurred, which resulted in the breakdown of the trust relationship between the two parties,” wrote Kaya FM in a statement.

“The business can further confirm that due process was followed and the decision was therefore made to part ways with Ms. Nkayi.”
Unathi described that period of her life as one that was painful, “I have been through the most vigorous and painful year of therapy of my life because I lost EVERYTHING due to a ONE SIDED story that many were to keen to believe,” Unathi shared on her Instagram.
“In May my therapist wanted to put me on meds. Anxiety pills and tranquillisers because I had hit rock bottom. We decided against the meds BUT that meant I had to force myself to get into a routine which included exercise. To show up for myself. My father said ‘Be regular with your therapy and then sit back and watch them turn against each other. They will because there is no integrity amongst the 3 people who conspired against you in this matter.’ My therapy session today was cathartic to say the least, ” she concluded.
