Award-winning artist and record label owner Gabriel YoungStar’s So Good single has reached double-platinum within two months of its release!
Born in KwaMashu, the multi-talented Gabriel YoungStar told MGOSI.co.za that the double certification is the beginning of the bigger picture in his music career.

“Double Certification for me is the beginning of the bigger picture in my music carrier, meaning I still have a long way to go as I noticed that 90% of my supporters are coming from overseas, meaning I still need to work more at home.
“To be honest, I did not see this achievement coming so soon to my hands, but thanks to Lockdown it helped me re-strategize my music approach and it worked,” says Gabriel YoungStar.
Speaking to this publication, Gabriel YoungStar says that the way forward is to get South America to appreciate his work, especially the radio stations as they have been playing So Good.

Gabriel YoungStar, who is also a well-accomplished dancer, says So Good locally is only supported in Joburg, North West, and he wishes his hometown Durban can also show him some love, including other provinces.
“I’m still going to work on getting this song go viral special here at home, I realized that as an upcoming artist it’s really difficult to get support unless a big record label is behind you. I will let the work speak for itself instead of taking the journey of seeking attention in bad ways, including portraying a fake lifestyle on social media,” he shares.
Apart from his musical success, Gabriel YoungStar’s theatre involvement has scooped him the following awards: Durban Best Contemporary Newcomer (2008), South African Best Dance Choreographer (2017), including South Africa’s Top 10 Favorite Best Dancer to name just a few.

Gabriel YoungStar has taken the road less traveled by many artists by founding his own record label, entertainment, and publishing company, YoungStar Productions.
So Good is a single released in a build-up for Gabriel YoungStar upcoming album titled Music Box Season, which will be released at a later stage.
