Rapper and Emtee Records CEO, Mthandeni Ndevu ditched the SAFTAs at the weekend when he was supposed to perform Lala Ngoxolo alongside Ami Faku!
According to reports, Mthandeni Ndevu was present at the rehearsals but instead of making a performance, he made a disappearance minutes before the two hit the stage.

Apparently, Mthandeni Ndevu also left the costume department very worried when he left with the clothes that were meant for his performance during that fateful evening of the SAFTAs.
Our means to solicit a comment from Mthandeni Ndevu drew blank as his phone rang to voicemail.
This year’s 15th South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) took place this past weekend.
“Emtee was supposed to perform Lala Ngoxolo with Ami Faku at the SAFTAs but he disappeared minutes before the performance with clothes he got from the stylist,” wrote @SAHipHop247.
We wonder why could Mthandeni Ndevu ditch such a wonderful opportunity? Probably got high and forgot.

Recapping on the SAFTAs: The late Menzi Ngubane received the Best Actor nod for his final on-screen performance as nemesis Judas Ngwenya in the soapie Isibaya, which took a bow after eight seasons earlier this year. The first season of Gomora received the Best Achievement in Directing award under the telenovela category through public votes.
Veteran theatre and television actor James Ngcobo took home the Best Supporting Actor in a TV Drama award for Queen Sono. DStv’s new telenovela Legacy cleaned out the “Best Telenovela” category. Acclaimed actress Michelle Botes added to Legacy’s multiple wins by taking home the Best Supporting Actress in a Telenovela award.
