Award-winning gospel star, Dumi Mkokstad has set his attorneys on an Eastern Cape music promoter. Following an unholy war played out between the two of them on Facebook yesterday.
Dumi Mkokstad, real name Mdumiseni Nzimande, instructed his lawyers at Mpungose Attorneys to send a letter of demand to promoter Aviwe Gqomfo.
In his Facebook post, Aviwe Avee Gqomfo said, “makhe ndiye e toilet ngempundu zam ezingazange zangena ncanca yenye indoda for imali (let me go to the toilet with my bums which have never been inserted with any man’s penis for money).
This is the response from Dumi’s lawyer: “This comment insinuated that our client engage (sic) sexually with other men for money.”
The event organiser has landed in hot over his defamatory statements on his Facebook page. Where he laid some claims that the Gospel singer and married man, has riches because he allegedly sleeps with other men.

However, the post has since been deleted. This must have followed after the law took action we assume.
This shows that Dumi Mkokstad did not take the statement made by Aviwe lying down. He has decided to take legal action against the organiser.
As per the publication, the musician is fighting with Gqomfo because of Ukhozi FM’s Song Of The Year.
It is said that the organiser mentioned that Mkokstad never went to the mountain for initiation as per the Xhosa culture. On top of the fact that Mkokstad was rich because he was sleeping with other men.
“The thread received over 700 comments before he deleted it. Contacted for comment, Gqomfo denied posting such allegations against Mkokstad. ‘I don’t know what you are talking about. I really don’t know,’ he said before he hung up,” – as per the publication.
Unlike Aviwe, when Dumi was asked about the incident, he told the publication that the matter is with his lawyer. Including that they are suing the event organiser for defamation of character.
“I don’t want to comment further on the matter as I am taking legal action against Gqomfo. I am aware of the allegations he made against me through his Facebook page. It’s a long story. He must explain why he made those allegations. My lawyer will deal with him,” he said.
