Eastern Cape’s rising star, Avuyile Nkompolo, popularly known as Coolkiid officially joins the Sony Music Entertainment Africa Family. He also launches his EP (Impilo Yothando) with the debut single Ubuye featuring King Monada!

CoolKiid is a young, talented vocalist born in Tabankulu, Eastern Cape, and raised in the Free State. Coolkiid’s music career started early in 2006 with him visiting random recording studios and performing at music events to get some experience and exposure, and in 2013 he then decided to start recording his own music. “At the age of 15 all I wanted to do was music, and I have never let anyone tell me I can’t do something. I believe in myself,”. shares CoolKiid. You may know him from his latest single “Inhliziyo” which dropped late last year and now has over a million streams on digital platforms.

When asked how he feels about joining the Sony Music family, Coolkiid said: “Joining a huge family like Sony Music is a dream come true to me, I never thought that one day I would also be part of this amazing family.
